We
are dedicated to providing our customers with the worlds finest micro
roasted coffees. As a family run business, with over thirty years of
experience in the coffee and beverage industry. We are very aware that
our success depends entirely upon maintaining our customers' confidence
in our gourmet coffees, so we pay close attention to your order every
step of the way.
All
of our coffee roasting equipment is state of the art, custom build
for us with our strict specifications. We may start with a standard
Diedrich or Probat coffee roaster, but it only starts there. We
strip out the burners and controllers. Then we add our own ratio controlled
power burners so we can vary the gas flow from 50,000 to 500,000 BTU's.
This gives us ultra control on how much heat is going in the coffee
bean. Then we add state of the art Brady control systems. We are able
to control every degree of every minute of the coffee roasting cycle
with up to sixty profile variations depending on the bean and roast
type.
Our Roast master has done extensive testing to determining both the length of time and temperature to optimize each beans best qualities and to achieve the most desired flavor. We finish the process by cooling the bean with large cooling fans to seal in the flavors.
We only purchase the finest estate coffees, 100% arabica beans from around the world. We purchase coffees from thirdly five different countries, then micro roast the coffee to peak flavor and ship them the same day for customers enjoyment. This assures our customer, the excellence they expect from the finest gourmet coffees.
We bag the beans in foil gusseted bags with one way valves while the coffee is still warm. The one way valve allows the coffee to breath but keeps the air out. Air is damaging to the freshly roasted coffee, it stalls quickly. We recommend you only purchase what you can us in three weeks
We opened California Coffee Roasters in nineteen ninety seven, we starting out as a coffee house. That included a coffee roaster. We felt we needed to roast are own coffees to set us apart from the wave of corporate coffee houses and franchises being opened. Roasting our own coffees allowed us to create blends no one else had and to have the freshest and highest quality coffees possible. Our coffees quickly become so popular with local community restaurants, stores and business. We decided to sell our coffee shop and strictly focus on roasting coffee full time. Our coffees are now being served coast to coast and around the world. Coffee roasted in our facility today may be in Hong Kong or Australia tomorrow.
